Academic Progress Requirements

Attendance Requirements

The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid does not track attendance for purposes of financial aid eligibility.  However your program may require that you maintain an attendance standard in order to be in good standing in the program.

Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements

Eligibility of financial aid (federal, state and institutional) is dependent on satisfactory academic progress (SAP).  Satisfactory Academic Progress is measured by the rate that a student completes credits hours against how many are attempted.  A student must be on track to complete the program within 150% of the program length.  Failure to complete a program within 150% of the program length could lead to termination of financial aid eligibility.  More information regarding SAP and eligibility requirements can be found in the Financial Aid SAP policy.

Early Withdrawal/Return to Title IV

When students withdraw from school or fail to maintain an active schedule, before completing the period of enrollment they have been paid for, they are subject to the Davis Tech Financial Aid policy on Return to Title IV. The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid will conduct a calculation to determine how much of the aid was earned. Any funds not earned must be returned to the Department of Education. If the student received more funds than they are entitled, the College will return those funds to the Department of Education and bill the student for any outstanding charges.  Any unpaid balance may be sent to collections.
