“Through the majority of my 20’s, I put myself in situations I never thought I would be in. Some mistakes are hard to come back from, but I continue to work and push due to the opportunity Davis Tech has offered me,” said Campos. “Two greatest things that have happened to me so far are my daughter and enrolling into this program.”

Campos has turned his life around. He excels at the skills he’s learning in the Davis Tech Diesel/Heavy Duty Technology program, mentors others, and is a proud National Technical Honor Society member. Learning diesel technology skills prepares him for a high-wage, high-demand career, setting him up for a successful future.

Williams is concurrently enrolled at Davis Tech and Weber State University. She aspires to become an OB/GYN Physician’s Assistant and looks forward to her on-site clinicals to gain the knowledge and insight to help her excel in the medical field.

“We had so many great applicants for Student of the Year. These six students stood out for their story of how technical education can change your life, because it truly does. I see this every day,” said Kelly Simerick, Vice President of Instruction and Student Success “I know that these students are going to make a difference in our community, and I can’t wait to see what they do.”

“I feel like, in this industry, I’m not going to have to work a single day in my life because I enjoy what I do,” said Campos. “Davis Tech does change lives. They’ve changed mine.”
