Davis Technical College Foundation Honors Community Partners

KAYSVILLE, UT – Davis Technical College Foundation honored organizations and outstanding individuals for their commitment to changing students’ lives at its annual Life-Changer Luncheon on October 12, 2023, at Davis Technical College (Davis Tech).

 

 The five honorees are as follows: 

  • Rocky Mountain Power Foundation, Haven J. Barlow Legacy Award
  • Chevron, Industry Partner Award
  • Morgan School District, Education Partner Award 
  • Clark and Eileen Moss, Presidents Award 
  • President J. Stuart Adams, Utah Senate, Community Advocate Award 

 

During the event, the Davis Technical College Foundation recognized the honorees for their contributions to Davis Tech and dedication to education in Utah. Also, students shared stories of how their lives were changed by their experiences at Davis Tech.

 

“I found self-confidence as a student at Davis Tech. I want to thank the foundation for giving me scholarships to help me get through my programs. I'm now in the Master Esthetician program, and starting a business,” said Desireé Hawkins. “At 44 years old, I’m excited for my future!”

 

In the 2022-23 school year, Davis Tech awarded 399 scholarships totaling $266,000 – all from funds raised by the foundation.  

 

“Donations to Davis Technical College Foundation help to create life-changing opportunities. We have so many incredible people in our community who are true life-changers for Davis Tech students,” said Foundation Director Lindsey Rees. “I’m glad we had the chance to honor these individuals and companies who are so dedicated to elevating education in our community. We are extremely grateful to have this kind of support.”
