2023 Foundation Golf Tournament

2023 Foundation Golf Tournament

Davis Tech hosted its Annual Golf Tournament on June 28 at Bountiful Ridge Golf Course. We raised more than $51,000 and brought together partners, corporate sponsors, foundation members, and Davis Tech staff to enjoy a game of golf.

THANK YOU AMAZING SPONSORS!
Major sponsorships for this tournament were provided by Young Automotive Group as a platinum sponsor and US Development as a gold sponsor. Other significant sponsors included America First Credit Union, Ogden Clinic, KIHOMAC, Hillcrest Bank, Goldenwest Credit Union, method studio, Texas Roadhouse – Bountiful, Spectrum Credit Union, Hughes General Contractors, Inc., Utah Jazz, Intermountain Layton Hospital, Ed Kenley Ford, WCF Insurance, Sierra Rv Svc, KSL NewsRadio, and Holy Cross Hospital.

“Each year, the foundation golf tournament raises funds for student scholarships at Davis Technical College,” says Lindsey Rees, Director of the Davis Technical College Foundation. “Through the support of our many partners who believe in the mission of Davis Tech, our scholarship recipients will receive gifts of technical education and be able to move forward with their goals.”

OUR STUDENTS SAY:
We know from many scholarship recipients that these funds can genuinely change their lives. “I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. This scholarship means so much to me,” says Esthetician student Summer Pettit who received a scholarship from last year’s tournament donations. “Without this scholarship, things would be even tighter since I lost my 14-year job to outsourcing. One day, I would love to help someone as well, and this will not be forgotten.”

An Advanced Emergency Medical Technician student, Wyatt Howell, says, “Thank you so much for this opportunity to continue my education. I appreciate your support; it is so helpful in my life because, without the help of this scholarship, I may not be able to take the classes I need to pursue the career I want.”

Although the golf tournament is the foundation’s major annual event, they fundraise for scholarships year-round. During the 2022-23 academic year, the foundation awarded over $360,000 in scholarship funds, and 59 students received scholarships directly supported by the golf tournament.
