Davis Technical College does not discriminate on the basis of national origin. Individuals who have Limited English Proficiency (LEP) have the right to meaningful access to the college.

Anyone who identifies as LEP may contact Student Services at 801-593-2332 to request assistance. Staff will work promptly to identify the speaker’s primary language and communication needs. If possible, a member of the staff will translate for the LEP speaker. If necessary, the Director of Student Services will work to identify and hire an outside interpreter.

The services provided under this process are intended to assist the LEP individual engage with the college, but do not overturn the requirements for admission to the college or any college programs. Should an LEP individual seek admission to the college and be unable to pass the admissions tests at the designated level, they will be referred to supportive educational services including Academic Development and English as a Second Language classes as appropriate.

Individuals who believe they have not been provided reasonable access to LEP services may file a complaint with the Director of Student Services following the standard Student Grievance Policy and Procedure.
