The Esthetician program prepares students to enter the world of skin care, natural and nail care by teaching the required skills for success in a competitive industry. Students will develop communication skills, professional behavior, and the core skills of working in or building a spa business. Students will work with spa guests in a modern, well-equipped spa and will perform these skills with the newest techniques, products and equipment in the industry. At the end of the program, students will be qualified to take the Utah State Esthetician Licensing Exam (a valid US Social Security Number and Government issued ID is necessary for licensure)

Admission Requirements

Secondary and post-secondary students may enroll in the Esthetician program. Students must meet the following program requirements.

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (adult students only).
  • Complete program placement assessments as noted below.

  • High school students do not need to complete placement assessments unless specifically required by the program
  • Placement testing is waived for students with a Davis Tech Certificate of Completion at an equivalent level or higher, or an associate’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college.

Transfer Options

The following academic agreements are available to students in the Esthetician program. In order to receive credit for course work included in these agreements, you must provide a transcript to the receiving institution.
