Campus Cup is a statewide voter registration challenge sponsored by the Utah Lieutenant Governor’s Office. Universities and colleges compete for the ownership of the Campus Cup trophy, cool prizes, bragging rights, and a meeting with the Lieutenant Governor. Besides bragging rights, it is an awesome opportunity to get involved and be engaged in your community.
Young voters are new voters and as new voters they face unique obstacles to voting that result in turnout that is historically 20 to 30 points below older voters. Being civically engaged is so important and getting in the habit of staying registered and voting starts right as you are eligible. It’s important to participate in your local and federal elections and make sure your voice is heard!
We are having an event on September 17th from 10:30-12:30 in the Café Area in honor of National Register to Vote Day. Swing by to get some candy and more information about registering to vote! In addition, if you show us your confirmed registration, you’ll receive a sticker and an entry for a basket full of prizes!
